Infinity

Hi everybody.

How are you?

I don't have much today. Just a few pictures from work and around town.

This is a leaf from a beautiful Overcup Oak tree that was planted by the Leesburg Garden Club at General Marshall's house as a memorial to September 11. Overcup oaks are not native to this area. They are more of a southeastern tree. But look at this leaf! I love the shape of it.

The front is shiny and colorful, and the back is pale and fuzzy.

The last few are hanging on to the tree at the Marshall House. I'm surprised that there are any left on the tree at all after yesterday's wind.

I watched the sunrise yesterday with Rufus and a nice warm cup of coffee. The temperature was below freezing, which I wouldn't have minded if not for the aforementioned wind. So, I lit a couple of candles and sat by the window and watched the sky change colors. It was nice. I also got to catch up with a friend, who was also inside looking out a window, but at SNOW!

We had a nice sunrise this morning, too. It was good to be back outside. Today's suggested theme for my walk was "infinity sign." This was challenging, but fun. I only found a few, and I had to get creative. A good exercise in paying attention and noticing things.

Recent sunsets from the visitor center at work.

I hope you are all doing well and taking care of yourselves and each other. Hang in there, everybody.

Onward.
