Hello there.
Hi everybody.
Thankful for a good group of friends.
Ducks and geese on a frozen pond.
Sunrise.
Tuesday catch up walk in real life.
Eagle.
Sun about to set.
The Christmas branch at work. It was cut from a huge cedar tree to let in more light for a baby cherry tree that was trying to grow beneath it.
Pink lights.
Sycamore.
Tuba Christmas.
It was freezing and valves were sticking but they pushed through.
Icicles at work.
A message from my neighbor Greg.
How are you?
It's been a crazy week and I am tired. There has been joy and grief and all things in between. Christmas is a lot.
I think I'll just post a few pictures and a couple of links today and keep the words to a minimum. But this post is dedicated to my Uncle Patrick, who was a good human being and a big fan of my morning walks.

The video below will only be available through the end of December. I highly recommend it if you need a break from all the chaos of the world. Get yourself a nice blanket and a cup of tea or coffee or hot chocolate, sit on the most comfortable piece of furniture you have, light a fire or some candles, and spend about 45 minutes with the Milk Carton kids. You will not regret it. The bonus REM cover by their friend is fantastic. Here's a link. I hope it works. If it doesn't, find the Milk Carton Kids on Facebook or Instagram and find their post with a link that should work, at least for a couple more weeks:
And here's a link where you can purchase a download of Andrew Bird's Christmas show from Chicago: Watch Livestream of Andrew Bird on 12-09-2025
I haven't watched that one yet, but I am looking forward to it. Good music is good for you. Take care, everybody.
Onward.
