Wednesday, quickly

Hi everybody.

How are you?

I am doing OK all things considered. I feel like we are in the middle of a shift. Maybe that's too optimistic. But this week we have seen proof that we do have the power to make change. I'm hanging on to that.

I don't have much time for writing this morning, but here are a few pictures from the week so far:

It has been damp and foggy and cool, but humid. I am thankful for the rain but ready for some drier and colder air. I think it's probably too late for the rain to make a difference in the fall color. It's likely going to be a little dull this year. But there are still signs of it happening all around us. Some color is better than none.

Red shouldered hawk.

Some trees are red, and some are orange, and some are golden. Sweet gum trees can have all the colors at once.

If you live in an area where your local ABC channel is owned by Sinclair, please google ways to respond to their refusal to air Jimmy Kimmel's show. I think the best thing to do is to find out who advertises on their local news programs and let those businesses know that you'll be avoiding them.

Keep speaking up. It matters.

Onward.
