Just keep going

Hi everybody.

How are you?

I took my walk in town this morning. I have a busy day ahead so I needed to make it a quick one. A few photos of things I saw along the way:

A few of the Valentine's Day signs are still around. It's chilly outside, but it definitely feels like spring is coming soon. I have such mixed feelings. I have to work really hard to enjoy spring because of the underlying sense of dread about summer. I'll just do the best I can.

Yesterday, I renewed my oath for being an election officer. Did you know we have to take an oath? We have to raise our right hands and swear to support the Constitution. Unlike some elected officials, I take that oath seriously.
Did you know that federal workers take an oath as well, not to the president, but to the Constitution?
I don't think I will ever truly understand how we have arrived at this place in our history where we are abandoning our allies and cozying up to murderous dictators. I almost wish there was something I could wear to signal to others that I condemn the actions of the trump administration with all my being. Maybe I should get a tattoo.
Anyway, it seems like every day, something new and terrible happens. But also, every day new heroes emerge. We just keep going. All these fascists are bound to lose.
